What is the point of having the AUX in the rear? How do you hook it up when the unit is installed?

  • goofyslboi:

will it fit a 2005 honda pilot ex w/out navi but stock stereo
and will it hook up to the stock cd changer?

  • ctbd23:

so the usb is in the back of the unit? where does the wire to the ipod come out of (obviously the ipod isnt behind the dash lol)

  • erborah:

It’s got an SD slot…but you can’t use that to play MP3′s, right? That’s ridiculous.

12 million points if interest sounds like a map to everything interesting.

Does this have a hard drive for storing music? A friend of mine has a Pioneer system where every cd he puts in is automatically saved on his unit. Do you know of any that might do this?

  • joe81tx:

Okay, I found the above info in a review of the unit. Now that I have it installed I can give you the actual process to pick one color – no computer needed. Press the source button until the audio is off, if you are viewing the map press the mode button. Now press in the center of the volume button until the secret menu appears. Press the volume button to the left or right to pick the color you want and then press source to turn the audio back on and exit the menu.

@binhduh @dustinallen1982 you have to change the color in the avic feeds software on your windows pc. After creating a color, saving it to the SD card, copying the settings to the radio, press and hold SRC button until all sound comes off, then press the volume knob for a few seconds and initial settings will appear, select illumination color, change from SCAN to CUSTOM.

  • miragesmack:

The battery is to use it while you are downloading updates from your computer.

  • dustinallen1982:

i just bought it and got it installed the other day, so far i havent been able to get the colors to stop scrolling, its annoying as shit, also cant get updated maps, wich is annoying as fuck

  • binhduh:

I noticed the colors that light up the buttons transitions automatically, is there an option to have the lighted colors stay stationary?

  • cash68:

Holy shit you get some retarded questions. What is a din? Good christ. I think you need to start responding with “Let me google this for you”‘s website.

  • hmwillow:

@HansYensan why does it have built in battery on it????

  • SonicElectronixTV:

Under the car stereos & headunits section of our site, you can select your car and see what size stereo will fit your car. According to that, you can fit a Single DIN stereo and this AVIC-U310BT will not fit :( You can look into getting a flip-out navi, such as the Eclipse AVN7000 or the Kenwood KVT-514 with Navigation add-on module.

    lance bass?

  • HansYensan:

This unit DOES NOT HAVE PORTABLE GPS. The face plate is detachable, but it does not have a GPS antenna and it can not function as a portable GPS when detached. You detach so you can program it on your PC using USB. And it can not stream music.

  • Luitsa:

Does anyone know if it will fit in a ’90 buick centruy limited?

  • juanm429:

It refers to the size of the system. Double din units are twice as tall as single din units. It’s from ISO Standard 7736. Originally the Germans developed the standard, and DIN is an acronym for Deutsches Institut für Normung, meaning German Institute for Standardization.

  • jrfarve:

what kind of equilizer does this have? ive been looking around and cant find out at all, i got a pretty nice system and like to controll everyhting from my deck…

  • SonicElectronixTV:

DIN and Double DIN are the two standard sizes of radios. Typically, a single DIN measures about 2-1/8 (50mm) in height by 7-1/8 (180mm) wide. A double DIN stereo is twice the height of a singe DIN. The AVIC-U310BT is a double DIN.

For more information on DIN and Double DIN stereos, check out the SonicElectronix Knowledge Base.

What’s a din or double din?

  • SonicElectronixTV:

The Pioneer deh-p7100bt is a great stereo! It sounds great, really nice equalizer, excellent Bluetooth and iPod controls. The worst complaint we hear about the deh-p7100bt is that the clock display is small. But if your vehicle has another clock in it, that wouldn’t be a problem at all.

  • BigKleib34:

oh…that sucks this is a cool headunit. What do you know about the pioneer deh-p7100bt?
